On Jean, Yebba stops mourning long enough to realize she’s jealous of her own ability to move on. She names her second album after her late grandmother.
I’ve left Spotify for a few months, and this has meant I go onto YT to search for music - and my algorithm is still that of teenage me in Uni.
So, I only founded out yesterday that the album I’ve been waiting for for five years came out. It’s a little 2 days later and it’s not out of character for me to catch up a few days later.
I listened to the album twice - once, passively, living to feel if it fits. The secondly, sitting next to the speaker and reading the lyrics.
Great review! Delicate Roots is the one for me. Still absorbing and processing but loving what i've heard so far.
The album is a lot to take in (in the best way), and this review both clarifies and expands that space for me. Thank you.
Thank you for this review - it's such a luscious & ambivalent album x
Love this, great review!! Waterfall sounds so lush, the production is, as usual, incredible. I’ll be listening to this on repeat for a while.
Reviews before albums release? Are we back in 90-00s? I haven’t seen anything like this in forever

I loved this review. I co-sign it.
