An album named after a ‘90s R&B icon, made by a rapper who can barely sing, Jack Harlow scrapped four singles, abandoned rap entirely, and focused on women who have already moved on.
Pretty harsh to say he can’t sing when that is a solid 30 mins of ‘drake type singing’, disservice to Jack to compare.
In my opinion this is a solid album 3.5 star and I’m not surprised he has swayed from rap, this feels like him and how he has chose to portray him self in recent years.
Yeh it’s not a love story but none of his previous stuff has been, his tone & sound has changed, he’s gone from messing around with fans “21C/Delta” to craving someone with independence, character and authority…maybe his love story will change next.
I don’t know y’all, I liked this one in a “not artistic genius” type of way, but definitely “light and enjoyable” type of way.

The couple on "Against the Grain" track were his parents recounting the beginning of their love story and ease of it.
