Maxo, The Walls Group, Vic Spencer, Bairi, Nelccia, Sideshow, Radamiz, Channel Tres, and Tha God Fahim were among the artists with new albums or projects last week. Watch for weekly music drops every Wednesday for suggestions of lesser-known albums.

Maxo — Even God Has a Sense of Humor (Hip-Hop) [Listen]
Maxo, an artist from the West Coast, has just dropped his new record, Even God Has a Sense of Humor. Collaborations with LastNameDavid and Pink Siifu, as well as newcomers keiyaA, Liv.e, and Melanie Charles are featured on the record. When Maxo linked up with Dom Maker of Mount Kimbie, he immediately got to work on the album.
The Walls Group — 4 Walls (Gospel) [Listen]
The Walls Group, a Grammy-nominated Gospel supergroup, is back with their new album, 4 Walls. This is their first record since 2017's The Other Side, their longest gap between releases. Listen to the record, which includes Stevie Wonder and Paul Jackson, produced by Warryn Campbell and co-written by Eric Dawkins.
Vic Spencer & 38 Spesh — Greenthumbs Meets Trigger Fingers (Hip-Hop) [Listen]
Due to his unique rapping technique and prolific production, Vic Spencer has become a byword for the current wave of underground Hip-Hop. Although 38 Spesh is widely recognized for his lyrical prowess, he has also established himself as a formidable producer. Even though they share many similarities, Greenthumbs Meets Trigger Fingers is a total shock to their respective fan groups because they are closely connected. This collaborative effort is like a dose of both artists' signature flavors—it leaves you wanting more. Rome Streetz, The Musalini, Rasheed Chappell, and Risktaker all appeared on the album.
Bairi — 2 Hold U Over - EP (R&B) [Listen]
Bairi releases a 5-song EP named 2 Hold U Over to whet supporters' appetites. The sensual endeavor is a teaser for her devoted fans while they wait for her next full-length effort. Many people's attention has been drawn to the passionate singer because of her distinctive vocals and captivating stage presence. Her charismatic and supremely self-assured nature comes through in all five tracks.
Nelccia — From Me, To Me (R&B) [Listen]
Nelccia, a 21-year-old singer/songwriter from Cleveland, Ohio, released her first single, Love Set Free, in February 2020, followed it up with Options in July 2020, and released her third and final single, What You Make It, in November 2021. Since then, she's dropped several songs, most recently in October with Triggers, and her first EP, From Me, To Me, today.
Sideshow — DON’T JUST STAND THERE! (Hip-Hop) [Listen]
Don't just stand there: Sideshow's new album is here. Alexander Spit, Popstar Benny, AYOCHILLMAN, and Sideshow contributed to the album's creation. His stories cover various topics, from his travels and experiences in D.C. to the continuing persecution of his people in Tigray, his native country. After working with artists like MIKE, The Alchemist, Boldy James, Jadasea, and NAPPYNAPPA, this is the next logical step.
Radamiz — Gnashing, Teeth - EP (Hip-Hop) [Listen]
Radamiz was recently dubbed the East Coast's "Who's Next" by legendary radio station HOT 97. Since joining the Mogul Club, he's become known for his innovative style and lyrics—the music you can choose almost immediately after pressing play on today's special. The rapper is back with a new five-song EP called Gnashing, Teeth, which features guest appearances from Wiki and Dom McLennon of BROCKHAMPTON.
Channel Tres — Real Cultural Sh*t - EP (Dance) [Listen]
Real Cultural Sh*t is the beginning of a new era in the career of Channel Tres, a 31-year-old musician who has made a name for himself by fusing elements of Chicago dance, Detroit techno, and West Coast rap. After years of cultivating a cult following among a wide variety of listeners, including those in the dance DJ scene and Sir Elton John, he is finally releasing his music to a broader audience. The EP's five songs show the immense pop potential of his distinctive style.
Tha God Fahim — Iron Bull (Hip-Hop) [Listen]
With his expert street soliloquies and classic production, Atlanta native Tha God Fahim has risen to prominence as a major player in hip-hop's flourishing contemporary underground. Iron Bull features noteworthy performances from Mach-Hommy, Your Old Droog, and Jay NiCE, as well as hypnotic production from Nicholas Craven, SadhuGold, Camoflauge Monk, and Fahim himself. He serves as a testament to the power of persistence.
